Health and Safety.

Carrickfergus Junior Gateway recognises our responsibility to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all children and volunteers; and all other persons whilst they are on our premises. It is the club’s policy to do all that is reasonable to prevent personal injury and damage to property and to protect all persons, including members of the general public, from foreseeable hazards that they could come into contact with at Carrickfergus Junior Gateway.

We also recognise that all volunteers have a duty to exercise personal responsibility and to do everything practical to prevent injury to themselves and others.

We will appoint a safety officer to ensure the maintenance of the club and ensure any hazards are dealt with quickly.

As part of Sunnylands Youth Centre we will be in regular contact with the Centre manager to ensure the health and safety of all persons using the premises.

We are also committed to reviewing our policy and practice at regular intervals.
