Leaders.

All of the leaders and committee members within Gateway work on a completely voluntary basis, with day jobs as varied as teachers, programmers, sales assistants and students. This variety helps to make the club what it is, whether an artistic flair that is at home in the art room or a love of cooking that can be tasted at breaktime.

Before a volunteer is accepted into Gateway they are checked with Access NI for child protection purposes and undertake a trial period within the club to check their suitability.

With our links to the Education Authority and Mencap our leaders can take part in various accredited training courses throughout the year, which includes compulsory child protection training.
